Flavor

Each type of bean requires a specific roasting profile. The time and temperature needed to turn one kind of green coffee bean into a uniquely delicious brown bean differ greatly depending on things like area of origin and intended flavor. We source many different bean varieties from the finest coffee regions of the world, and our skilled coffee artisans micro roast each bean for its distinctive flavor. This can only be done in small batches, where each batch is tasted to make sure the roast lives up to the Dolce Vita Standard.

Freshness

The taste of coffee is at its best a few days after being roasted. Just like other perishable foods, its flavor degrades over time after those first few days. This is another reason why micro roasting every bean is so important. Smaller batch sizes allow us to get coffee to our customers as quickly as possible, before the carefully crafted flavor has peaked.
